About The Artist

In today's world where hardships and adversity are unexpected, unavoidable, linger for years, and continue to present new challenges for individuals and organizations, people are pushed to internalize their emotions and oppression. That internalization impacts their well-being, overall quality of life, and opportunities at multiple levels (social, emotional, physical, academic, and more.)

A women-owned social impact art brand, VMArt Design supports and empowers victims of violence while contributing to the culture and dialogue development & investing part of the revenue in programs and partnerships with organizations supporting our cause.

"Through my creations, I give a voice to those women, men, and youth who have been or are going through some tough times, whether it's the loss of a parent, the loss of a child, betrayal from close ones, domestic violence, no support, or a nasty divorce, and for one reason or another, they can’t not only share what they go through, but they also can’t figure out how to unstuck themselves."

Danielle embarked on a journey to raise awareness of gender-based violence from an artistic perspective. Victims of violence are often silent, regardless of the type of violence (emotional, physical, psychological, spiritual, cultural, sexual, etc.) While undergoing that experience, most women learned to express themselves through the patterns and colors in the daily outfits that they designed and wore. It was their unique way of communicating their feelings and emotions and sending their message to the world. That became a true inspiration, driving Danielle's passion for women’s empowerment while building on her legacy to positively impact future generations of women by stopping them from slipping into the trauma of violence and subjugation.
Danielle's artworks highlight the beauty of diversity. It’s part of the cultural exchange, making the world more beautiful and connected.

Danielle strongly believes that valuable cultural exchange is mutual. And that exchange offers the opportunity for more profound and prolonged commitment between people and encourages responsible global citizenry.

Danielle uses various sewing techniques with multiple fabric patterns that she pairs with traditional and modern objects like horns, moss, cowries shells, pearls, wood, mirrors, and much more. Sometimes she adds a touch of acrylic to her artworks.
