This work of art is one of a series inspired by women victims of abuse who do not have the right to speak and those who have the right to speak but are afraid of the consequences.
Inside them is an ocean of experiences.
The water is deep.
Calm or quiet
Shy or withdrawn,
Yet we have the most knowledge,
They have the most wisdom
They have the most depth of character.
African Fabric,
Its beauty attracts us.
Its colorful patterns attract us.
After all, it stays a sign
A sign of social recognition
A medium for non-verbal communication.
It allows to talk to others
Without an open mouth
Without making gestures.
